Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 September 2026
Draft notice: This Privacy Policy is a foundational draft prepared for Table Talks. Because Table Talks operates across multiple jurisdictions (Australia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Switzerland), each with different data protection regimes (including the Australian Privacy Act, applicable local laws in the Philippines and Indonesia, and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection), this document must be reviewed and validated by a qualified legal professional in each relevant jurisdiction before publication, particularly to confirm the governing law and the competent supervisory authority in the event of a dispute.
1. Introduction
Table Talks ("Table Talks," "we," "us," or "our") is a Melbourne, Australia-headquartered company that creates immersive culinary and cultural experiences, including residencies, dinners, and programs such as PULO, along with associated ticketing, editorial content ("Access Table Talks"), and a newsletter. We operate offices in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Switzerland in addition to our Australian headquarters.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through tabletalks.studio (the "Site"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights available to you.
By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

3. Information We Collect
We collect personal information in the following circumstances:
3.1 Account Creation
When you create an account on the Site, we collect your email address and password. Account authentication is handled through Supabase Auth. Your password is never stored in plain text — it is stored only in hashed (encrypted) form, and Table Talks staff cannot view it.
3.2 Ticket Purchases (Checkout)
When you purchase a ticket or make another purchase through the Site, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and the contents of your cart or order.
Your payment card details are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. Card information is entered directly into a secure field provided by our payment processor, Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant. We only receive and store the outcome of the transaction — such as the amount charged, the payment status, and a Stripe transaction identifier.
3.3 Newsletter Subscription
If you subscribe to our newsletter (available via the form in the footer of the Site), we collect your name and email address.
3.4 Ticketing Waitlist
If you join a waitlist for a sold-out or upcoming event (available on the Access and PULO pages), we collect your name (sometimes optional), email address, and the event you are interested in.
3.5 Contact Form
If you submit our contact form (/contact), we collect your name, email address, message, and the subject category you select (general inquiry, partnership inquiry, reporting a local contact, or volunteering/participation interest).
Contact form submissions are sent only by email to info@tabletalks.studio. They are not stored in a database.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information described above to:
- Create and manage your account;
- Process and fulfil ticket purchases and orders;
- Send transactional communications (e.g., account confirmation, password reset, order confirmation, newsletter confirmation, waitlist confirmation);
- Send our newsletter and editorial content to subscribers, if you have opted in;
- Notify you of ticket availability if you have joined a waitlist;
- Respond to inquiries submitted through our contact form;
- Maintain the security and proper functioning of the Site;
- Comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
5. Third-Party Service Providers
We work with the following third-party service providers ("processors") to operate the Site and deliver our services. These providers only process personal information on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions.
| Provider | Purpose | Data Location |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database hosting and user authentication | Southeast Asia (Singapore, ap-southeast-1 region) |
| Stripe | Payment processing | Global / United States infrastructure |
| Resend | Transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, newsletter confirmation, waitlist confirmation, order confirmation, and delivery of contact form messages) | United States infrastructure |
Future service provider: Table Talks may, in the future, use an additional email marketing platform (such as Beehiiv) to send editorial newsletter campaigns to newsletter subscribers. If and when such a tool is adopted, this Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect that change.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
6. Cookies and Local Storage
At present, the Site does not use any analytics or advertising cookies (for example, we do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or similar tools).
The Site uses the following strictly necessary cookies and local storage:
- Authentication session cookie (via Supabase Auth), which keeps you signed in to your account.
- Local storage (localStorage) in your browser, used to remember the contents of your cart as you navigate between pages. This information is never transmitted to a third party.
- Cookie preference indicator, which records whether you have accepted or declined non-essential cookies. No non-essential cookies currently exist on the Site; this setting is in place in anticipation of possible future use.
Future cookies: If Table Talks introduces analytics or advertising cookies in the future, we will display a consent banner before any such cookies are set, and we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, and as long as necessary to comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
8. Your Rights
8.1 Newsletter Unsubscribe
You may unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time by clicking the one-click unsubscribe link included in every newsletter email. No login is required.
8.2 Access, Correction, and Deletion
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at info@tabletalks.studio. We currently process such requests manually and will respond within a reasonable timeframe. We do not yet offer an automated self-service portal for these requests.
8.3 Guest Purchases and Account Linking

9. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed at, or intended for use by, individuals under the age of 16. [Age threshold to be confirmed by legal counsel.] We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@tabletalks.studio so that we can take appropriate action.

Where required by applicable law, we will take appropriate measures to ensure such transfers are conducted lawfully.
