Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 September 2026
Draft notice: These Terms of Service are a foundational draft prepared for Table Talks. Because Table Talks operates across multiple jurisdictions (Australia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Switzerland), each with different legal regimes, this document must be reviewed and validated by a qualified legal professional in each relevant jurisdiction before publication, particularly to confirm the governing law, the competent courts, and any locally mandated terms (including refund and cancellation rights) applicable in each jurisdiction.
1. Introduction and Acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of tabletalks.studio (the "Site") and the services offered by Table Talks ("Table Talks," "we," "us," or "our"), including account creation, ticket purchases, newsletter subscriptions, waitlists, and our editorial content.
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.
2. About Table Talks
Table Talks is headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, with offices in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Switzerland. We create immersive culinary and cultural experiences, including residencies, dinners, and programs such as PULO, and we sell tickets to these experiences through the Site. We also publish editorial content under "Access Table Talks" and operate a newsletter.
3. Eligibility
The Site is not directed at, or intended for use by, individuals under the age of 16. [Age threshold to be confirmed by legal counsel.] By using the Site, you represent that you meet this minimum age requirement, or that you are using the Site under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.
4. Accounts
To access certain features of the Site — including purchasing tickets, managing orders, or subscribing to certain content — you may need to create an account using your email address and a password.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Your password is stored in hashed (encrypted) form via Supabase Auth and is never visible to Table Talks staff.
- If you purchase a ticket as a guest (without an account) and later create an account using the same email address, your prior guest orders will automatically be linked to your new account.
- Please notify us promptly at info@tabletalks.studio if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.
5. Tickets and Purchases
- Ticket purchases and other transactions on the Site are processed through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. Your payment card details are entered directly into a secure field provided by Stripe and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
- Prices, availability, and event details are as displayed on the relevant event page at the time of purchase.
- Refunds, cancellations, and event changes: Specific refund and cancellation terms will be set out on the relevant event page or communicated at the time of booking. [Detailed refund/cancellation policy language to be finalized in consultation with legal counsel, taking into account consumer protection requirements in each operating jurisdiction.]
- If you have questions about a specific order, please contact us at info@tabletalks.studio.
6. Waitlist
If an event is sold out, you may join a waitlist by providing your name (where applicable) and email address. Joining a waitlist does not guarantee access to tickets; we will notify you by email if a ticket becomes available.
7. Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will send you editorial content and updates from Table Talks. You may unsubscribe at any time using the one-click unsubscribe link included in every newsletter email — no login required.
8. Contact Form
Messages submitted through our contact form (/contact) are sent directly by email to info@tabletalks.studio and are not stored in a database. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your message beyond what is necessary to address your inquiry.
9. Acceptable Use
When using the Site, you agree not to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site, other users' accounts, or our systems;
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Site;
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information (including in connection with a ticket purchase or account creation);
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Site without our prior written consent.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, and editorial content published under "Access Table Talks" — is the property of Table Talks or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our prior written permission, except as necessary to use the Site for its intended purpose.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
The Site may contain links to third-party websites or rely on third-party services (such as Stripe, Supabase, and Resend) that are not operated by Table Talks. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party website or service. Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
12. Disclaimers
The Site and our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Table Talks makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Site's availability, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Table Talks shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site or our services. [This clause is a general placeholder and must be reviewed by legal counsel to ensure compliance with applicable consumer protection laws in Australia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Switzerland, which may limit the extent to which liability can be excluded.]
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Table Talks, its officers, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
[The governing law and the competent courts or dispute resolution forum applicable to these Terms must be determined by qualified legal counsel, taking into account Table Talks' operations across Australia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Switzerland, and the location of the user.]
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page along with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
